Today, a conversation with a friend remind me of how ridiculous it is for us to accept ourselves just as it is. So many of us has been a victim of beauty standards by media. Fairer skin tones, fuller lips, bigger eyes; those are the standards that every woman has to live up to. I myself, used to think that my skin is too dark for a Chinese descent. I tried a lot of scrub, lotion, even bathing in milk (!!) in hope to make my skin a tad lighter. Of course, I don't get any lighter ( Be careful, kids, whitening product is a lie ), but I do get wiser. Being yourself, embracing yourself, is the most important thing you should do, in order to grow to be a better version of you. Now that I realise that secret, that everyone is amazing from the right perspective, I try to show people a different, maybe clearer perspective in themselves, showing that magic exist inside each of us.
