My first blog post! Quite excited to finally really write something in here. Having a blog has lingered in my mind for a long long time so it is a groundbreaking move for me! yeah! I hope that you will enjoy reading this blog as much as I enjoy making it.
I really want to tell you guys is this fabulous exhibition of Didi Budiharjo that become quite the talk in town recently. I went to Jean Paul Gaultier's exhibition in Melbourne, and I am happy to say that I think Didi is comparable to him. He is astonishingly unique! This is just my personal review on the Exhibition, not a pro one, absolutely, as I myself is not quite a big fashionista, but an exceptional showcase in creativity is always a pleasure to see.
I admire Didi's involvement being in his exhibition. He makes this exhibition feels so special. I have hard times trying to squeeze myself into the small rooms because everybody wants to see Didi, noted that the space is so tiny. I can't wander freely and it's a major problem for a photo bug like me. The bloggers have a great advantages, though! Didi arranged a tour apart from the public ones just for the bloggers who already have big names. Anyway! Back to the exhibition, the White section is just fab.
I loves white dresses! Some of the dresses and accessories are from the Curiosity Cabinet collection. I kinda freaked out when I saw it here. They are even prettier to see in person. However, the next room looks even more striking to me.
An army of nocturnal creatures. Yes, please. I've seen that Explorer Shades by Rinaldy A Yunardi before on several bloggers. I liked it for its oh-so-starwars look. Probably it will be even cooler if there is a sort of telescope embedded inside it. If you see closely to Didi's creations, a lot of them have Indonesian touch. Even in uber chic collections like these.
This exhibition is definitely a must see, because it is inspiring, especially for Indonesians, to see there is actually someone out there who dares enough to stay true to himself and be different. It is a very refreshing sight. Following trends can be quite boring... If only you noticed that most people are starting to look the same now because they do things without no difference at all. Why would we want to be totally alike? Aren't we love personalized stuffs?
